Le sigh.

Bleach, Volume 47 picks up right where the last volume left off and it is yet another filler volume . By no means does that mean this book is terrible because it is very interesting. However, the last few volumes (excepting the last one) have been a pretty anti-climatic build-up to one of the most anticipated battles. With only one volume left to this story arc, I'm actually eager for it to come to an end.

Aizen seems unstoppable with his ever-growing phenomenal powers. The amazing team of Urahara, Isshin, and Yoruichi don't even seem to have a fighting chance against him. However will Ichigo beat Aizen in the span of one more book's time??

(view spoiler)[Well, by learning new powers of course! I thought it was so interesting when Isshin also performed Getsuga Tenshō.

This hinted to what would soon follow. With all hope nearly lost, Isshin teaches Ichigo the Final Getsuga Tenshō in a last-chance effort to battle Aizen.

I really never tire of seeing this side of Ichigo.

Meanwhile, Aizen and Gin travel to the real Karakura Town to create the Ōken. We get to see some familiar faces that haven't been around for a while. I normally don't care for Don Kanonji, but it was surprisingly really fun to see him rush to the aid of Tatsuki. (hide spoiler)]

Gin has always been very intriguing to me. I kept hoping Tite Kubo would do a detailed backstory on him, but seeing that there is only one volume left, my hopes are crushed. Unless the last volume is the size of Les Misérables, I don't see how I'll get my wish. Seeing the interaction between Gin and Rangiku made me want a spinoff story on those two. I have a feeling our mysterious fox-face may have something up his sleeve.

I have such a big wish-list for the last volume that I just don't see how it will all happen. I'm hoping for a Gin backstory, some badassery performed by Byakuya, Kenpachi, and Renji, and a monumental epic battle with Ichigo and Aizen. Oh! And if Grimmjow and Ulquiorra magically appeared to help take down Aizen that would be amazing too. Is that too greedy? Yes, I'm a greedy little bastard. Well, I can wish, can't I?

The son of a town council member in Fuchu, Aki District, Hiroshima. He never took drawing seriously until he was 17; after reading Dragon Ball he knew he wanted to be a manga artist. At the age of 18 he submitted his first concept for the series Zombiepowder but it got rejected. Zombiepowder was rejected multiple times until Kubo was 22, when it finally was accepted by Shonen Jump. It did not last long; it was cancelled after four volumes in late 2000.

His next series, Bleach, about a high school student who becomes a shinigami and fights hollows, was not such a failure. Bleach began regular publication in 2001. It has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump ever since.
